COVID-19

black background with white text covid-19 update

Following New Hanover County’s Declaration of State of Emergency—First Amendment (the “Order”), issuing that all non-essential retail shall close all in-person shopping areas to the public and that all restaurants and other facilities that prepare and serve food cease on-premises consumption, we expect all Independence Mall tenants to comply.  The Mall’s interior common areas will cease operations, but we anticipate that food-use tenants may continue to operate for delivery, drive-through, or curbside service, and public access to operating Essential Businesses and Operations will be permitted.  The Mall Walker Program is suspended until further notice.  The Order defines non-essential retail and is linked here: https://health.nhcgov.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/03/3-28-2020_COVID-19_Prohibitions_Restrictions.pdf.
